Amber und Gefährten
Amber (Martina Noeth) recorded the songs of her debut "Bardensang" together with friends, the "Gefaehrten". Before, they practiced their music for a long time at Live Action Roleplaying Games (LARP) and Bardensang was first distributed by a fantasy publisher not by a record company. The songs had a strong link to the fantasy world of the RPG "Das Schwarze Auge" ("Aventuria" in the English version), the music already had a great diversity between ballads ("Ilsur") and even a medieval drinking song ("Hebt nun den Krug!").
In her second album "Rabenflug" extends Amber her musical diversity towards gothic. However, medieval melodies and the fairylike singing are still characteristic for Amber. Amber (singing) is accompanied by Sven Seibert (drums & percussion), Holger Schell (guitar), Marcus Hautz (bass) und Florian Don Schauen (German flute), the band themself describes their musik as "dark folk". Like Bardensang, Rabenflug has a strong theme as well, the path of the red raven. The red raven refers to themes from Asian mythology and fits great to the music, bringing together melody and poetry.
